ABOUT KYLE

Kyle Fitzgerald is a professional West Coast Swing dancer from the Toronto area. He teaches and judges at events all around the world, and has numerous Pro-Am routines with his students.

Additionally, Kyle has many titles from Rising Star routine divisions at many events, including winning first place in Rising Star at The Open 2022 (considered to be the premier event for those competing WCS routines).

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

PRICING AND REGISTRATION

All passes include entry to the Saturday, February 15 social dance.

Novice+ passes require either proof of 1 or more WSDC Novice competitive points OR staff approval. If you cannot meet this requirement due to lack of competition experience or success, please speak to a Westie Underground instructor for guidance.

FULL WEEKEND NOVICE+ PASS

  2. 1 hour evening workshop (8-9pm)
  3. Entry to February 15 social dance

FAQs

Do I need experience?

Yes.

For the all-levels workshops, we expect that you are able to reliably execute basic pushes, passes, and whips as taught in our WCS Basics classes.

For the Novice+ workshops, we're taking that a step further and asking that you have at least one point in Novice WSDC divisions in your preferred role.

WSDC NOVICE? CAN I PETITION UP?

Yes.

If you have never competed before or have not yet earned any points in the Novice division, please speak to WU staff for guidance before registering.

IS REGISTRATION REQUIRED?

Registration is required for both the Full Weekend Novice+ Pass and the Saturday All-Levels Pass. Evening-only passes may be purchased as drop in at the door.

Registration will be available online until June 21 at 11:59pm and in-studio on Tuesday and Saturday evenings until June 18.

Do I need a pass to attend the social dance?

No.

If you have bought any of the available workshop passes, entry to the social dance is included, but if you are not attending the workshops, you may pay at the door as usual.

What's the refund policy?

We know just about anything can happen, and a commitment to register ahead of time can be a little scary.

For that reason, if you have registered and need to cancel, we will issue refunds up to the date of the event.

Can I book a private lesson with Kyle?

Yes! But spots are very limited. Contact us directly to arrange.

The workshops, social dance, and all private lessons will be held at our usual studio location:

The studio is on the second floor, with parking and building entrance located at the back of the building.
