Where and when can you dance?
Westie Underground including drop-in social dances each week, and 4-week lesson series.
- Lessons on Tuesdays or Thursdays
Check out the current selection of classes at: https://westieunderground.ca/classes/. We offer a new lineup of classes each month and they run for 4 weeks. Doors open at 6:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for lessons.
- Social dances on Saturdays
Each Saturday, we host a drop-in social dance. It has a very friendly and supportive atmosphere, and generally, everyone dances with everyone. The doors open at 8pm on Saturday.
- Private lessons
Our instructors can offer private lessons, depending on their availability of course.
Our studio is at 1574 Walkley Road in Ottawa. Come around the back of the building, and up to the second floor.
No experience? No partner? Not an athlete? No problem at all! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. Comfy clothes, indoor shoes, and you’re good to go.
Our policy is that masks are mandatory since social dancing is up close with other people and covid is still being transmitted in society. We encourage participants to be vaccinated for their own safety.
We apologize for the trailer parked in front of our door right now. The owner of the building is having some construction done in another unit. Once you come inside, the studio is quite nice. Don’t be deterred by the sketchiness of the restaurant’s dumpster and the construction trailer.
